I couldn't believe how much easier it was to do when I had my tree for the first year where I can reach it all (but I am tall).

Heidi - I have to admit, I go the fake route. I love the smell of a real tree but I can't cope with the dropped needles and other mess.Lisa @ Blithe Momentshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06044161376528094256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104033475587282079.post-34113207220512950302011-11-29T20:48:19.035+11:002011-11-29T20:48:19.035+11:00Beautiful! We're usually too short in my house to reach the top of the tree, so we just put ornaments near the top. ;)Kelly @ Foodie Fiascohttp://foodiefiasco.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104033475587282079.post-14038011608476141942011-11-29T15:13:13.644+11:002011-11-29T15:13:13.644+11:00Hannah - yes do post a picture, I love seeing peop...Hannah - yes do post a picture, I love seeing people's trees. You could always do what I did for the office last year, I got a crystal christmas tree. Remember as a kid you would get those "crystal gardens" where you added water and the minerals in the paper grew out? Well I got a tree like that! It was awesome. I think I got it from Socrates in the Canberra Centre.Lisa @ Blithe Momentshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06044161376528094256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104033475587282079.post-91395009243082220142011-11-29T14:37:14.204+11:002011-11-29T14:37:14.204+11:00Love it! When it goes up probably one minute before midnight on Christmas Eve. Sadly, I don't expect to have one in my place, considering I've now been living without furniture for almost two months...Hannahhttp://wayfaringchocolate.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104033475587282079.post-91675079477219944732011-11-29T09:22:12.382+11:002011-11-29T09:22:12.382+11:00Aneets - thank you, I think I would go a star if I...Aneets - thank you, I think I would go a star if I hadn't found my finial.

Kari - the spaceship alludes me too! Our family finial was incredibly old and delicate, it was always Dad's job to put it on the tree, till eventually it was too old to use and we had to get another. I love the tradition of the old familiar decorations.

A Farmer's Wife - thank you. I do like a blingy star, although I often wonder if they are hard to keep on straight. It takes ages to get the finial pointing in the right direction.Lisa @ Blithe Momentshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06044161376528094256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104033475587282079.post-87768741115595320592011-11-28T23:08:11.816+11:002011-11-28T23:08:11.816+11:00We have a star. But I rather like it - can't see the spaceship angle myself :P We had a traditional angel growing up, which got more and more worn over the years, but it was the traditional topper and it remains to this day. With my small tree and small Christmas ornament collection (although you are inspiring me to think of upsizing) I have a star.Karihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06350144954173714085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104033475587282079.post-40561137497584411432011-11-28T21:57:43.249+11:002011-11-28T21:57:43.249+11:00We have the usual star but I love what you have go...We have the usual star but I love what you have going on!Aneetshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05545340536847198130noreply@blogger.com
